Outreach

Outreach is central to our mission at Bedford Pentecostal Church, as we share God’s love in word and action.

Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven

Matthew 5:16

Our Purpose

Our Outreach Team exists to extend the love of Christ beyond the walls of our church. Their purpose is to connect with the local community, meet practical and spiritual needs, and share the message of hope and faith. Through acts of service, community engagement, and evangelism, the team seeks to build relationships, support those in need, and create opportunities for people to experience God’s love. In doing so, the Outreach Team helps BPC live out its vision of being a church that serves both its congregation and the wider community. This team is overseen by Brother Antonio, Sister Sue and is supported by all of the Elders.

Caring for our community

Every Sunday, our Bus Station Breakfast provides food and friendship for the less fortunate. The dedicated team at BPC offers hope to those in need, and provides food and drinks to those who are in need.
Through the HOPE Gazebo, we share the Good News of Christ with the people of Bedford. Our lead pastor, Pastor Josh heads initiative up with a couple other churches in Bedford.
Working both in the prison through the chaplaincy team leading bible studies and Sunday services. Also helping ex-prisoners resettle in the community through CRSP (the Community Resettlement Support Project). Showing God’s Love in Practical and Spiritual ways to restore lives and reduce crime.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek

Romans 1:16

Evangelism

The Evangelism Team at BPC is dedicated to sharing the life-changing message of Jesus Christ with others. Their mission is to equip and encourage the church to reach out with confidence, compassion, and boldness—whether through personal conversations, community outreach, or church-led initiatives. This team helps create opportunities for people to hear the Gospel, experience God’s love, and take steps toward a relationship with Christ. Through prayer, intentional engagement, and Spirit-led action, the Evangelism Team plays a vital role in fulfilling the Great Commission within our church and community.

Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them - not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve

1 Peter 5:2

Pastoral Care

The Pastoral Care Team at BPC is a developing team. They seek to be devoted and supporting to the emotional, spiritual, and practical needs of our church family. Their purpose is to come alongside individuals and families during life’s challenges—offering prayer, encouragement, visitation, and compassionate support. Whether someone is facing illness, grief, personal struggles, or simply needs a listening ear, the Pastoral Care Team is there to provide comfort and guidance rooted in Christ’s love. Through their ministry, they help ensure that no one at BPC walks through difficult seasons alone, reflecting the heart of a caring, connected, and supportive church community.

International Work

At BPC, our heart for mission reaches far beyond our local community. Brother Simon and Brother Paolo continue to support the 3:16 Ministry in Pakistan, partnering with locals to provide a larger sewing centre and space to educate, share the Gospel, and strengthen believers in Pakistan. Alongside this, many members of BPC actively sponsor children around the world through Compassion, helping provide education, healthcare, and hope in Jesus’ name. These global commitments reflect our desire to see lives transformed across nations, as we stand with our brothers and sisters worldwide in faith, generosity, and service.

Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.

Matthew 25:40

Prison Ministry

This ministry is a living expression of God’s love in action. Working both within the prison and beyond the prison gates, our team serves faithfully through the chaplaincy—leading Bible studies, sharing the Word, and supporting Sunday services. Alongside this, we walk with ex-prisoners as they resettle into everyday life through CRSP (Community Resettlement Support Project), offering encouragement, guidance, and practical help during a critical season of transition.

At the heart of this work is a desire to show God’s love in both practical and spiritual ways—bringing hope, restoring dignity, rebuilding lives, and ultimately helping to reduce reoffending and crime. We believe that no life is beyond redemption and that transformation is possible when people encounter the love and truth of Jesus Christ.

The prison ministry connected to Bedford Pentecostal Church powerfully reflects Jesus’ own words in Matthew 25: 40. This verse reminds us that God calls us to go beyond comfort and into the margins – to serve those often overlooked by society with compassion, grace, and faithfulness.

We are incredibly grateful for the number of members within our church family who quietly and selflessly support this ministry, giving their time, prayers, and resources to serve those in need.
